Just getting dinner and then everything went dark ... apart from the gas fire. All the electrical fuses in place, all good, but no electricity. Three hours later the professional power service man turned up. Problem at the street end ... so up the pole and sorted it ... that's him up there doing his work at midnight. Power back on. Thank you Mercury Energy.
